This Whipped Honey Butter recipe is the perfect way to work any of our raw and unfiltered local honeys into your favorite dishes. In just five minutes, you can sweeten a snack or meal with plenty of 100% pure and delicious honey flavor and a creamy, gourmet whipped topping. Scones, pancakes, toast, sandwiches, dinner rolls – a little sweetness (and plenty of butter) can make just about anything you whip up truly special.
½ cup butter or ½ cup margarine (at room temperature)
¼ cup Local Hive honey
½ tsp nutmeg
For Vanilla Cinnamon Honey Butter:
¼ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp cinnamon
For Orange Honey Butter:
2 tsp grated orange zest
For Lemon Honey Butter:
2 tsp grated lemon zest
- Once your butter is softened and at room temperature, whip the butter and nutmeg with a hand mixer or food processor until the mixture is fluffy.
- Mix in your other ingredients, if any.
- Gradually add in your local honey and mix until well blended.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate in a glass jar with a lid.
