All-Natural Honey Gummy Bears

Recipes

Save yourself a trip to the candy aisle with this recipe.

Honey gummy bears use only 3 ingredients and no unnecessary additives. Using only honey, water (or fruit juice), and gelatin, these gummies skip the corn syrup and artificial dyes. Raw, natural, Local Hive Honey is the only sweetener. This recipe is easy for cooking with kids, the mixture takes 5 minutes to make on the stovetop and sets in 30-60 minutes in the fridge. The only real “work” here is pouring the mold.

Honey doesn’t just stand in for sugar here, it's doing double duty as the flavor. Local Hive Honey is raw and unfiltered, so instead of the flat, one-note sweetness you get from corn syrup, you're left with something a little more floral, a little more complex, depending on which blend you reach for. Swapping out water for fruit juice adds a second layer to the flavor party.

Best of all, kids can handle most of this recipe solo. Mixing, stirring, and pouring. 3 simple steps, easy to follow, a great way for the kids to have some autonomy in the kitchen. (Just try not to eat them all at once!)
