Spicy Chicken Dip (with Honey Hot Sauce)

Recipes

Creamy. Crispy. Sweet-heat-y. This isn’t your average tailgate dip—it’s the one your guests ask about mid-bite.

Loaded with juicy shredded chicken, melty cheese, and a generous pour of Local Hive Original Honey Hot Sauce, this dip delivers spicy flavor with a touch of honey sweetness. Serve it hot, bubbly, and unapologetically gooey. Game on.

This dip is everything you want in a dip: rich, creamy, spicy, and sweet—without being overwhelming. The 100% U.S. honey in every drop of Local Hive Honey Hot Sauce perfectly balances the jalapeños and cheese like a flavor referee in overtime.

And for once...we think the refs are making the perfect call. Let's get cookin'.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie works great!)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup sour cream
⅓ cup mayo
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar
1 ½ cups shredded Monterey Jack
2 tbsp Local Hive Original Honey Hot Sauce (plus more to drizzle)
2 jalapeños, finely minced (deseed for less heat)
1 tsp garlic powder
Kosher salt & cracked black pepper, to taste
4 strips crispy bacon, chopped
Extra cheese for topping
Chopped scallions or parsley for garnish

DIRECTIONS

1. Shred & Set Up:
Start with fully cooked chicken, shredded while still warm for best texture. If you're making your own, toss raw chicken with Local Hive Honey Hot Sauce, bake at 375°F for ~20 minutes, then shred.

2. Mix It Up:
In a large bowl, blend softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo until smooth. Add garlic powder, jalapeños, both cheeses (reserve some for topping), and 2 tbsp of Local Hive Honey Hot Sauce. Fold in shredded chicken. Season to taste.

3. Assemble:
Spoon the mixture into a cast iron skillet or baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and a few extra dashes of hot sauce. Optional: Add bacon on top before baking.

4. Bake Until Bubbly:
Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes or until hot, golden, and just starting to brown at the edges. For extra browning, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.

5. Serve Hot:
Garnish with scallions or herbs. Serve with tortilla chips, toasted bread, or crunchy veggies. Optional (but highly encouraged): drizzle with more Local Hive Honey Hot Sauce before serving for extra spicy-sweet swagger.
