Honey-Baked Apples with Pecan Oat Crunch
Recipes
What’s more autumn than warm apples, cinnamon, and a drizzle of Local Hive Mid-Atlantic Honey? This cozy recipe turns everyday apples into a rustic dessert that feels straight from the orchard.
You’ll need:
- 6 crisp apples (Honeycrisp or your favorite variety)
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- ¾ cup gluten-free rolled oats
- ½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 3 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
- A good drizzle of Local Hive Mid-Atlantic Honey
How to make it:
- Heat oven to 350°F. Cut the tops off your apples and scoop out the cores.
- Stir together oats, pecans, coconut sugar, spices, and 2 Tbsp coconut oil until crumbly.
- Stuff each apple with the mixture, packing it into the hollow centers.
- Set apples in a baking dish, sprinkle over any leftover filling, and spoon the last bit of coconut oil on top. Add a drizzle of Local Hive Mid-Atlantic Honey for good measure.
- Pour about ½ inch of water into the dish around the apples, cover with foil, and bake 30–35 minutes. Remove foil for the final 5 minutes to let the topping crisp.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel—plus another swirl of Local Hive Mid-Atlantic Honey if you’re feeling generous.
Sweet, spiced, and just a little nutty—these baked apples bring New England orchard vibes straight to your table.
