Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
Recipes
Yes, you can get chicken tenders anywhere these days. You can get hot chicken. You can get fried chicken. You can get just about any kind of chicken you want from just about any kind of fast food restaurant.
But you can't get homemade chicken tenders.
And you definitely can't get them with Local Hive Honey Hot Sauce. You're more than welcome to bring your own honey hot sauce to a restaurant though. We won't judge.
Are Homemade Chicken Tenders Worth It?
We used to be skeptical, but after trying this recipe from @Jazzleaf, we're never going back to drive-thru chicken tenders. (Maaaaybe for the occasional midnight munchies, but that's all.)
These Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are just as tender and delicious as the 'real' thing you might get from your local neighborhood chicken joint — but with a fraction of the calories. This recipe makes 8 chicken tenders with gluten-free flour, clocking in at 130 calories and 35g of protein per serving. Not bad!
And if you don't count the 2+ hour marinade (pssh) then they're ready in under 30 minutes. Air fryers cook quick and help prevent that soggy, sad excuse for chicken tenders that usually results from home-baked chicken recipes.
We used Local Hive Original Honey Hot Sauce for this recipe, because it simmers down into a nice sweet-heat glaze when you heat it. Any of our 7 flavors of honey hot sauce will add a unique sweet-heat kick.
