Spiced Honey 75 Cocktail

Recipes

It’s bubblyIt’s sweet. It’s fruity. It’s French. There’s so much about this classic cocktail that makes it perfect for the holidays.

With this recipe from @thesugarandsaltco, the French 75 is getting a sweet twist. Instead of simple syrup made with sugar, use honey and add fresh ginger and cinnamon sticks for a festive flair.

Why 75?

The French 75 is named after the French 75mm field gun used in World War I. It is said that the powerful kick it delivers feels like being shelled.

Over the years, the recipe has taken on several variations.

If gin isn’t your thing:

A "French 125" replaces gin for cognac

A "French 95" incorporates bourbon

A “Mexican 75” uses tequila and lime

A “Smoky 75” uses mezcal and lime juice

Try this version of the French 75 this holiday!
